Mark Orient has joined Tishman Construction Corp. as senior vice president, based in Washington, D.C. He formerly held the same title at Tompkins Builders Inc., a Washington-based unit of Turner Construction Corp. Tishman, acquired by AECOM in 2010, also promoted Steve Dimond and Ken Harris to first vice president and Vince Giganti to vice president of mechanical-electrical-plumbing services.

CNH Global N.V., a Netherlands-based global construction and agricultural equipment manufacturer and distributor, has enamed Mario Gasparri to be president of its U.S. construction equipment unit in Burr Ridge, Ill., effective April 1. He replaces James McCullough, who retires March 31. Gasparri had been general manager of CNH International, responsible for its agricultural and construction brands in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. CNH, primarily owned by Fiat Industrial S.p.A., was formed in 1999 by the merger of equipment firms New Holland N.V. and Case Corp.

 

SUZUKI
Sharon M. Suzuki has been promoted to president of Maui Electric Co., the power utility for the Hawaiian island and a unit of Hawaii Electric Co. Inc. She assumes the new role May 1. Formerly Maui Electric's manager of renewable energy services, she will succeed Ed Reinhardt,who becomes president emeritus and will retire from the company on June 30. Maui Electric says it is a global leader in clean energy, and reports a 600% growth in solar energy installation in the past three years.

HBE Corp., a St. Louis design-build firm that specializes in the health care sector, has named two senior vice presidents: David Cousley for the firm's north central region and Stephen Sandefur for its Great Lakes region. Cousley had been director of integrated services at The Korte Co., while Sandefur is previously manager of civil, structural and architectural engineering at Global Performance. HBE ranks at No. 155 on ENR's list of The Top 400 Contractors, with $348 million in 2010 revenue.

The National Hispanic Construction Association, a Falls Church, Va.-based educational and advocacy group for Hispanic-owned industry businesses, has elected Maria Patricia Corrales as chair for 2012–2013. She is vice president of Capital Construction Enterprises, Washington, D.C., and founder and president of the DC Hispanic Contractors Association. Corrales succeeds Peter Fontanes, a founding member of the national group.

 

SCOTT
David Scott has been named as a lead director for structural engineering at U.K. contractor Laing O'Rourke plc, Dartford, effective in April. He is currently a principal of New York City-based engineering firm Arup and head of its Americas building unit. Scott also is a past chairman of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat and was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Turner Construction Co., New York City, has named Mark Boyle to the new role of chief procurement officer. A company senior vice president, he will continue leading its global sourcing group and directing relations with national and international suppliers.

AECOM Technology Corp. has hired John M. Renfro as executive vice president and chief human resources officer. In this role, he leads the 45,000-employee firm's worldwide human resources operation. Renfro previously served as vice president of human resources at Hewlett-Packard Co. and also was senior vice president and chief human resources officer for The Walt Disney Co.

POWER Engineers, a Hailey, Idaho-based consulting engineer, announces several executive changes to take effect by April 30. is promoted to the new position of chief operating officer. Formerly executive vice president of power delivery, he will assume operational management duties of , the firm's CEO. Replacing Ostermeier in running the firm's largest division is , who was a vice president. has been named to the newly created position of chief administrative officer. He was executive vice president of operations. The firm is ranked at No. 61 on ENR's list of The Top 500 Design Firms, with $195.5 million in 2010 revenue.
