District of Columbia Hobby Lobby is planning to build the Museum of the Bible. Hawaii General Growth Properties, the Kobayashi Group, BlackSand Capital and The McNaughton Group are developing the Park Lane Ala Moana, a group of seven luxury condominium towers in Honolulu. Minnesota Granite Falls Municipal Hospital is planning to build the Granite Falls Nursing Home. The project involves the construction of a single-story, 48-bed, 48,368-sq-ft building, including a kitchen and dietary department to serve both the nursing home and the hospital. Ohio Team Gemini LLC is planning to develop the Gemini Synergy Center, an industrial park whose main component will be the Center of Resource Recovery and Recycling (COR3). COR3 will consist of a 185,000-sq-ft landfill receiving facility as well as a recovery and recycling facility that will process municipal solid waste. The project will include the construction of 1.6 million sq ft of greenhouses, a waste-to-energy center that uses anaerobic digesters, combined heat-and-power generators, and 50,000 sq ft office and research center. Landfill gas from the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio's adjacent landfill will be fed into a 5.55-MW biogas cogeneration system. Manhattan Construction Inc. is the construction manager. Virginia Capital One Financial Corp. is planning to build a new headquarters in Tysons Corner. The 32-story, 470-ft-tall, 940,550-sq-ft building will be the second-tallest structure—next to the Washington Monument—in the Washington, D.C., metro area. Minnesota The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a $12.3-million firm-fixed-price contract to R.J. Zavoral & Sons Inc. to carry out the Roseau Flood Risk Management Project, located in Roseau. The project team will construct a 6,500-ft-long diversion channel, a channel inlet structure and a concrete restriction structure spanning the Roseau River. New Mexico The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a $19.7-million firm-fixed-price design-build contract to MACNAK Korte Team LLC to design and build a dormitory at Cannon Air Force Base in Curry County. The 144-person, three-story building will contain 52,132 sq ft. The project will include demolition of an existing two-story dormitory.
