The projects featured on the following pages were selected from over 700 entries as outstanding achievements in construction within the U.S. for 2011. Independent industry judges chose winners in 18 categories based on design and construction excellence, teamwork, safety and contribution to the community. In addition, ENR's editorial staff chose one special project as the Editors' Choice to represent the pinnacle of design and construction excellence.
A panel of 17 industry judges from across the U.S. and all walks of construction and design expertise reviewed 119 projects, scoring each on criteria such as innovation, community contribution, teamwork, safety and design and construction excellence. The panel then met to argue the merits of each project and determine the final 18 winning projects. Click here to view all judges.
