del.icio.usThe market for green building has continued to climb over the past few years as it has gone from being a novelty and a marketing tool for owners to a means to save on operating costs over the long term. ENR’s third Top Green Contractors list is an attempt to measure this trend. This year’s Top 100 Green Contractors generated $38.69 billion in 2008 from projects that either were registered or certified with a major third-party environmental standards or ratings group, a 69.9% increase from last year.
