Professional
and trade associations are the lifeblood of the
construction industry. Among their many functions,
they set standards of best practice and promote
their use. They actively work to make jobsites
a safer place to work. They provide forums that
enable members to share vital information. They
communicate their members views on vital
issues to Congress and other legislative and regulatory
bodies.
The Association Annual Report Section provides
associations with an opportunity to communicate
their top initiatives and programs to the diverse
readership of ENR.
The associations participating in the 2005 Annual
Report special advertising section represent a
broad range of specialties within the construction
industry. Their imperatives are highly varied.
What they have in common is the understanding
that the construction process has moved beyond
parochial interests and competition in which there
are winners and losers. Instead, there is a recognition
that a healthy industry depends on the success
of all of the individuals whose efforts and expertise
are combined to produce and deliver successful
projects.
