Colorado Banner Health Arizona is planning to build a new laboratory in Greeley. The 13,500-sq-ft lab will test blood, tissue and other specimens for both inpatient and outpatient procedures. Illinois Highland Park Hospital is planning an upgrade project. Kentucky Cityscape Residential LLC is planning to build the Axis Apartment complex at 1373 Lexington Rd. in Louisville. North Carolina Dale Earnhardt Inc. is planning to build the Earnhardt Outdoor Center on a 317-acre site in Mooresville. The project entails the construction of a members-only event center, which will comprise horse stables, nature trails, rodeo facilities, paint-ball courses and archery ranges. Florida Plaza Construction has started building Icon Bay, a luxury condo high-rise at 421 N.E. 28th St. in Miami. The 42-story, 541,755-sq-ft building will contain 300 units, two swimming pools, a fitness center, and a six-level, 435-space parking garage with a pedestrian bridge. Arquitectonica International Corp. is the designer. Related Group of Florida Inc. is the developer. The project is valued at between $50 million and $75 million. Massachusetts Congress Building Corp., serving as construction manager-at-risk, has started constructing The Residence at Five Corners, a senior living community in Easton. The three-story, 84,000-sq-ft building will contain 74 units, a mix of independent-living, assisted-living and memory-care units. The Architectural Team is the designer. New York Scrufari Construction Co. has started building a new intermodal facility in Niagara Falls. The 28,00-sq-ft building will be a new Amtrak passenger terminal; it will accommodate inner-city and inter-city bus services, pedestrians, cyclists, taxis, and Customs and Border Patrol screening areas. Wisconsin KPH Construction has been selected to convert the Port Plaza Towers low-income apartment building back into its original use as a hotel. The eight-story building, located at 304 N. Adams St. in Green Bay, will become the Northland Hotel and will include a bar, restaurant and spa. Kahler Slater Architects is the designer, and Frantz Community Investors is the developer. Bid, Proposal Dates

Washington 8/1 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bidders to carry out the Lower Granite Juvenile Fish Facility upgrades. The work will modify the existing juvenile fish transportation system from a pressure-pipe system to an elevated, open-channel system. Mechanically controlled, 10-in.-dia collection-channel orifices will be enlarged to 14 in., with LED and PLC automated control. Demolition of 1,400 cu yd of concrete is required to enlarge the existing collection channel to 9.5 ft wide and construct a new 6-ft-wide channel through the dam. Steel trusses spanning drilled shaft columns will support the channel, the primary dewatering structure and the juvenile transportation flume. Pennsylvania 8/7 The Pennsylvania Dept. of Transportation is seeking bidders to carry out an Interstate 70 widening project in Washington County. The project team will reconstruct and widen, to three lanes from two lanes, I-70 in each direction; the team also will reconstruct the Murtland Avenue Interchange (Exit 19), eliminating the substandard cloverleaf interchange and replacing it with a diverging diamond interchange.
