Florida The USTA National Tennis Center Inc. is planning to build a new training center in Lake Nona. The 63-acre facility will include over 100 courts, mast lighting, seating for 1,200 people, a two-story pavilion for concessions, restrooms, locker rooms and an office. It will house the USTA's Community Tennis and Player Development divisions and host events. DPR Construction is the general contractor. The project's value has been estimated at $60 million. Rhode Island Bella Sand LLC, a developer, is planning to build a condo complex, Bella Vista, on a 50-acre site in Pascoag. The subdivision will encompass 35 duplexes, with a total of 70 units. It is being designed by DiGregorio Corp. The project has been valued at between $5 million and $10 million. Texas Arcadia Realty Corp. and Charter Holdings, developers, are jointly planning to build the Canals at Grand Park, an urban-style mixed-use village in Frisco. The 152-acre project ultimately will include approximately 2,000 homes—a mix of apartments, houses and senior townhouses built around landscaped parks and waterways. Valued at between $10 million and $15 million, the first phase will include a 366-unit senior housing community created by developer Integrated Realty Group. Integrated Realty Group, Attn: J.L. Bids, Contracts, Proposals

District of Columbia Clark Construction Group LLC, serving as the construction manager, has started building The Wharf, a mixed-use project on a 24-acre site in Washington's Southwest Waterfront neighborhood. The project will encompass two 12-story residential buildings and an 11-story, Class-A office building; the three buildings will total 2.1 million sq ft. One of the residential buildings will contain a 142,500-sq-ft theater-music hall. The project also includes a yacht club with 98 marina slips, two parks and a 2,500-space parking garage. Clark will raise the grade of the site by rebuilding 1,600 ft of bulkhead along the Washington Channel. The project developer is PN Hoffman- Madison Marquette, a joint venture. North Carolina The Fred Smith Co. has started constructing a railroad bridge to carry rail traffic over Morrisville Parkway in Morrisville. In addition, the project includes realigning 1.5 miles of railroad curves between Morrisville Carpenter Road and Cary Parkway. The North Carolina Dept. of Transportation is the owner. Oregon Walsh Construction Co. has started building the Lloyd District Commons, a multifamily residential development, located in Portland. The project entails the construction of a six-story, 196,000-sq-ft building, which will contain 186 rental apartments and 190 parking spaces. Further, the building will contain 3,500 sq ft of street–level retail space. The project owner is the AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust. The project's value has been estimated at $45 million. Bid, Proposal Dates

Illinois 6/24 The Effingham Park District is seeking bidders to build the Richard E. Workman Sports and Wellness Complex and Swimming Pool. The project team will construct a single-story, 55,000-sq-ft building. Holabird & Root LLC is the designer. The project's value has been estimated at between $12.2 million and $12.3 million. Kansas 6/26 Neighbors Construction Co., the general contractor, is seeking subcontractor bidders to build the Village West apartments in Kansas City, Kansas. The job entails the construction of five three-story buildings, housing 311 units and totaling 390,000 sq ft; a fitness center and swimming pool are included. New Jersey 7/1 The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is seeking bidders to carry out a paving project to the Garden State Parkway in Egg Harbor Township. The project involves widening the parkway to provide for 10-ft-wide left shoulders, 12-ft-wide right shoulders and, from milepost 38.0 to milepost 41.0, an additional travel lane in each direction. The project also includes the widening and superstructure replacement of two bridges; partial deck replacement and resurfacing of two bridges, and full replacement of one bridge.
