Bid, Proposal Dates

District of Columbia 5/14 DC Water is seeking a general contractor to build a new headquarters building. The design-build project calls for a new building to be constructed over the existing O Street pumping station. As the pumping station is not structurally able to support a new building, the headquarters must span the pumping station on all sides, with an independent structural system that will not compromise the existing foundation. The contract also requires the pumping station to remain in full operation during construction. The new building will consist of five additional stories, each with roughly 36,000 sq ft of floor space. The project's cost is estimated at $55 million, and the project is expected to seek LEED Platinum. DC Water, Ms. Senail Manley, 5000 Overlook Ave., S.W., Washington, D.C. 20032-5212l. DR#14-00479508.
