Chile The Ministry of Public Works plans to construct a record-size suspension bridge over the Chacao Channel. The bridge will connect the island of Chiloé to the Chilean mainland and, when completed, will be the largest suspension bridge in South America. The 8,645-ft-long bridge will comprise two main spans, one 3,461 ft long and the other 3,608 ft long, as well as a 1,246-ft suspended side span. The project's design features three concrete towers consisting of two 589-ft towers and one 527-ft tower. Hong Kong The Island School will be a 300,000-sq-ft high school situated in the city's Quarry Bay neighborhood. Kuwait The Kuwait National Petroleum Co. has plans to build the Mina Abdullah (Package 2) Clean Fuels facility, a refinery expansion in the country's southern region. United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi Airport is planning to build a new airport terminal between the airport's two runways.
