California Young Enterprises LP is planning to build the Rincon del Rio Senior Complex in Auburn. The project includes five single-story buildings that will contain a mix of cottages and assisted-living units, for a total of 345 units. Construction is expected to start in spring 2014. Colorado The Regional Transportation District is planning to build the North Metro Rail Line in Denver. This component of the FasTracks expansion project entails phased construction of an 18.5-mile-long, single-track, electrified commuter-rail segment, with sections of passing tracks, from Denver Union Station to 124th Avenue. It also includes eight stations and 4,040 parking spaces. The general contractor is GBBH Joint Venture, which comprises Graham, Balfour Beatty and Hamon Constructors. Construction is expected to begin in February 2014 and be completed by January 2018. The project's value has been estimated at $343 million. Massachusetts The Hanover Co. is planning to build University Station Apartments in Westwood. The project entails the construction of two four-story buildings, totaling 427,255 sq ft. Surrounding a five-story parking garage, the buildings will have 350 apartments, a fitness club and a pool. The project has been valued at $90 million. Michigan John Packer, the owner of Lakeshore Apartments in Ypsilanti, is planning to build a mixed-use expansion. The development will include 600 additional apartments, senior housing, a mile-long boardwalk, a marina, restaurants and a grocery store. The project's value has been estimated at $50 million. New York TF Cornerstone is planning to construct a 45-story apartment building at 606 W. 57th St. in New York City. The 1.2-million-sq-ft building will comprise 1,189 units, a 550-space underground parking garage and 42,000 sq ft of retail space. The project has been valued at $100 million. Wisconsin Hunzinger Construction Co. has started building the Lisbon Avenue Health Center in Milwaukee. The center will be a three-story, 42,000-sq-ft building. The project is valued at $11 million. Florida 1/8 US Construction Corp., the general contractor, is seeking subcontractor bidders to build Mango's Tropical Café in Orlando. The project entails building a single-story, 50,000-sq-ft entertainment facility, including meeting rooms and a restaurant. The work involves a complete interior and exterior renovation of an existing building, including stairways, an elevator, mechanical-electrical-plumbing infrastructure and second-floor steel-structure terraces. Louisiana 1/9 The Naval Facilities Engineering Command is seeking letters of interest from HUBZone-certified 8a and service-disabled veteran-owned contractors to carry out an airfield repair project at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, located in Belle Chasse. The project entails replacement of most sections of runways 4/22 and 14/32, taxiways and parking aprons. The work will include partial and full-depth concrete replacement, shallow and deep asphalt repair, replacement of joint sealant, crack-sealing asphalt pavement and seal coat of asphalt pavement. Oklahoma 1/10 The City of Norman is accepting requests for qualifications for pre-qualified bidders to carry out phase two of an expansion of its existing wastewater treatment plant. The project entails expansion to 17 million gallons a day from 12 mgd; new ultraviolet disinfection, post-aeration facilities; secondary clarifiers with sludge-pumping facilities, and modifications to the headworks facility.
