Illinois The City of Springfield is planning the Springfield Rail Consolidation Project, which entails relocating the Union Pacific Third Street tracks and constructing a new set of tracks for Union Pacific and Amtrak trains next to Norfolk Southern's Tenth Street tracks. It also involves building underpasses where Ash, Laurel, Jefferson, Madison and Carpenter streets cross the Tenth Street tracks and overpasses along North Grand Avenue. Indiana The University of Notre Dame is planning to construct a School of Architecture building, a 60,000-sq-ft structure at the south end of the campus. The project has been valued at $27 million. Ohio The Finch Group, a developer, is planning to build an apartment building at East 97th Street and Chester Avenue in Cleveland's Upper Chester neighborhood. The six-story, 177-unit building will occupy one corner of Finch's 38-acre site. Ozanne Construction Co. has been selected as the general contractor, and construction is expected to start in 2014. Texas Rush Enterprises Inc., a truck dealership, is planning to build a Rush Truck Center at 8922 IH-10 East in San Antonio. The project entails the construction of two service buildings, totaling 79,764 sq ft. Comanche Contractors is the general contractor. The project has been valued at $12 million. Connecticut Bridgeport Development Landing LLC has started construction of the Bass Pro Shop at Steelpointe Harbor, a mixed-use development in Bridgeport. The project entails the construction of a two-story, 150,000-sq-ft building. The project has been valued at $22 million. Bridgeport Development Landing LLC, 300 Alton Rd., Miami, Fla. 33139. Georgia Six Flags White Water has started building Hurricane Harbor Water Park, which is located inside the existing Six Flags Over Georgia theme park in Austell. Hurricane Harbor will include an 800,000-gallon wave pool, two waterslide complexes, an interactive children's water area, food locations and cabanas. Construction is expected to be completed by May 2014. The project has been valued at between $15 million and $20 million. Six Flags White Water, 250 Cobb Parkway North, Marietta, 30062. Pennsylvania URS Corp. has started building the Flight 93 National Memorial Visitors Center in Shanksville. The project includes the 4,000-sq-ft visitors center, an adjacent parking area, and a pedestrian bridge and trail. It was designed by Paul Murdoch Architects. The owner is the National Park Service. Bid/Proposal Dates

Iowa 11/12 Missouri River Energy Services is seeking bidders to build the Red Rock Hydroelectric Project, a 36.4- MW hydropower facility at the existing Red Rock Dam on the Des Moines River near Pella. The project team will drill piers and prepare the foundation for the intake structure; excavate two water conduits to connect the existing concrete gravity-dam penetrations to the powerhouse; construct the approach and tailrace channels and the cast-in-place reinforced-concrete powerhouse; and install the owner-furnished Kaplan turbine-generator units. Construction is expected to begin in February 2014 and be completed by January 2016. The project's value has been estimated at $260 million. California 11/21 San Luis Obispo County is seeking bidders to build the Los Osos wastewater recycling facility. The facility's secondary treatment facilities will include an oxidation ditch, secondary clarifiers and a sludge pump station. The tertiary treatment facilities will include filter influent pumping, coagulation and ultraviolet disinfection. It also will include a common effluent pump station, two on-site storage ponds to provide 37 acre-ft of storage, and sludge storage tanks. Arizona 1/10 The Arizona Dept. of Transportation is seeking bidders to carry out the Prescott Ashfork state Route 89 widening project. The project entails widening the state route at Chino Valley Town's southern limit, from mile post 320.45 to mile post 325.1. Furthermore, the project team will construct two two-lane roads and two roundabouts as well as reconstruct the existing road. The project's value has been estimated at $25.2 million.
