Hawaii Downtown Capital LLC is planning to build 801 South St. in Honolulu. The project entails the construction of a 46-story, 540,000-sq-ft building that will contain 643 condominiums and a 915-space parking garage. Hawaiian Dredging Construction Co. Inc. has been selected as the general contractor. Construction is expected to start in June 2013 and be completed by August 2015. The project has been valued at $200 million. Maryland Under Armour, a sportswear company, plans to build a mixed-use office and retail building in Baltimore. The project comprises the construction of a three-story, 80,000-sq-ft building on Hull Street. The project has been valued at between $15 million and $25 million. New Hampshire Dakota Partners plans to convert into housing a portion of the Pine Valley Mill building in Milford. The job entails converting 45,000 sq ft of the building into 50 apartments. Utah The Salt Lake City Corp. is planning to build a regional athletic complex on a 160-acre site at 1900 West 2200 North. Phase one of the job entails the construction of a 2,000- to 3,000-sq-ft administration building; a 2,000-sq-ft maintenance building; two 2,000- to 3,000-sq-ft restroom buildings; one championship soccer field with artificial turf and bleachers; 15 additional soccer fields and a parking lot. Arkansas APAC Tennessee Inc. has started work on a paving project in Sebastian County. The project entails paving 5.495 miles of Highway 71 near Fort Chaffee, south of Van Buren, with an asphalt-concrete hot-mix base, binder and surface courses and portland cement concrete. Illinois The Chicago Dept. of Transportation has awarded a contract to Parsons Brinckerhoff to provide preliminary and final design services for the rehabilitation of the Webster Street Bridge. Mississippi JW Puckett & Co. Inc. has started construction of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pass Christian. The project entails building a single-story, 10,230-sq-ft sanctuary. Ohio 2/8 The City of Cincinnati is seeking bidders to carry out phase one of the downtown-loop streetcar system. The project entails building railroad spurs for the streetcar to connect Government Square, Fountain Square, Washington Park, Findlay Market, Aronoff Center, Gateway Quarter, the Music Hall and the Horseshoe Casino. The project also involves relocating utilities, paving and constructing a 1,200-sq-ft maintenance building. The project is valued at $95 million. Texas 2/12 The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is seeking bidders to build the Clear Creek Shopping Center at Fort Hood. The project involves building a single-story, 265,000-sq-ft shopping center that will contain an exchange, a pharmacy, a dental clinic, a bank, a salon, a spa, nine food-court vendors and a parking lot. Louisiana 2/19 Tulane University is seeking bidders to carry out an expansion to the Howard Tilton Memorial Library on the campus in New Orleans. The project entails building a two-story, 78,000-sq-ft addition on top of the existing four-story building. The addition will be used to house the library's mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and some of the library's collection. Valued at $20 million, the project is funded partially by FEMA. The project is being carried out to prevent a repeat of the damage the library suffered during Hurricane Katrina, when the library's basement and first floor were flooded. alaska 2/20 Kodiak Island Borough is seeking bidders to carry out the Kodiak High School addition and renovation. The job entails building a two-story, 77,000-sq-ft addition as well as renovating 90,000 sq ft of the existing school building. The project's value has been estimated at $70 million.
