| Portable Coring Machine: Self-Contained Design The Hilti DD 120 Diamond Coring System is able to core up to six 4-in.-dia holes in reinforced concrete on a single charge. The self-contained system weighs only 22 lb, and its only external requirement is a water hose. The tool’s portability allows it to core in areas where the tool must be lifted into place, such as in making through-holes for sprinkler systems. | Soft-Handled Crimping Tool: Less Strain During Use The Comfort Crimp line of crimping tools feature soft-grip handles designed to reduce strain during use. The tools are employed to crimp terminals or lugs onto copper or aluminum wire in various electrical and heavy equipment applications. According to the manufacturer, the redesigned tool requires 25% less force to complete a crimp than previous models. The crimp tool’s Shure-Stake mechanism is designed to hold the crimped terminal and wire until enough force has been applied to complete the crimp. | Redesigned Drill Driver: Lithium-Ion Power For Longer Battery Life, Faster Charging The 18-volt Powermasters lithium-ion cordless power tools from Metabo now includes the BS18 LTX drill driver. According to the manufacturer, the new battery design results in increased battery life and faster charging. The Electronic Single Cell Protection system is designed to monitor individual battery cells during use and charging to prevent damage. The drill driver features a dual-range torque adjustment allowing the torque to be set to either 13 in.-lb through 31 in.-lb or 31 in.-lb through 114 in.-lb.
