Grading Attachments: New Option for Skid-Steer Loaders Grading Attachments: New Option for Skid-Steer Loaders

New grader attachments from Bobcat are designed to allow skid-steer loaders to perform grading work. Graders are available in 96-in. and 108-in. widths and can be incorporated with the Bobcat laser-control system to grade materials within 1⁄4-in. The heavy-duty graders’ blades are able to move in six different ways and feature a hydraulic side-shift function, which allows the blades to move up to 13-in. horizontally, allowing for grading close to buildings and other obstacles. A proportional hydraulic valve allows for the moldboard to move at three different speeds for finer control. Bobcat; 866-823-7898; www.bobcat.com

Electrical Clamp: Flexible Steel Won’t Crack Electrical Clamp: Flexible Steel Won’t Crack The SP58 stainless-steel ground rod clamp is an electrical clamp for connecting a conductor to a ground. It is made of flexible steel designed to not crack when excessive torque is used during installation. If the clamp is overtightened, the bolt head will shear, instead of cracking the entire clamp. Tracking Tools: Barcode Reader Logs Data Tracking Tools: Barcode Reader Logs Data The Dynamic Basic Tool Manager is an asset management system that uses a standard bar-code reader and standard software to keep track of construction tools. The tool manager uses a Windows application to log tool data, and, according to the manufacturer, a tool can be logged and checked out in under a minute. A built-in wireless connection allows for integration into larger systems. Dynamic Systems Inc.; 800-342-3999; www.click2barcode.com
Hot-Water Heating System Circulator: Saves Power Hot-Water Heating System Circulator: Saves Power The Alpha Heating Pump is designed for light commercial and residential hot-water heating systems. The 115-Volt circulator is able to automatically adjust its performance and flow rates depending on the system demands, cutting overall power consumption. The electronically controlled motor features a magnetized rotor to avoid slippage problems and delivers a higher starting torque. The circulator is also able to save power in retrofit applications, as it is able to automatically find the lowest needed power setting for the system. Grundfos Pumps; 913-227-3400; www.grundfos.us
Amphibious Dredge Unit: Designed For Shallow Waters and Swamps Amphibious Dredge Unit: Designed For Shallow Waters and Swamps The Vosta Multi Functional Dredge 250 is able to perform both excavation and dredging tasks. The MFD250 is self-propelled, and it is an amphibious vehicle able to move itself over dry land, shallow water and swamp areas by tilting the spuds near the front of the dredge. It can be loaded and unloaded for transport without the aid of a crane. The MFD250 is designed for a single operator and has an air-conditioned cabin. A pile-driver attachment is available as a customized option. VOSTA LMG; 707- 823-8503; www.vostalmg.com
