The S-85 Model of telescoping booms includes several new features, including fixed-width axles for simpler transport and setup and a virtual pivot boom system, which keeps the weight of the boom over the chassis while it elevates, reducing the need for extra counterweights. The Mechanical Super Pro 415 Mechanical-Drive Riding Trowel is powered by a 45-hp air-cooled gasoline engine with a centrifugal clutch. It employs two 46-in.-dia, 5-blade rotors capable of 145 rpm for panning and finishing of concrete. The MSP 415 has an electrically powered spray system controlled by a joystick for the application of retardant, and the flip-up seat and removable screens allow for easy maintenance access to the engine, clutch and drive line. The small, lightweight unit has no connection cables and can be operated with one hand. It has a large LCD display and also provides audible feedback about the location of rebar.
