COMPUTER-AIDED EXCAVATORS
Productivity Through Control
Newly
introduced models R210LC-7 and R290LC-7 are equipped with
Hyundai's Computer Aided Power Optimization. Improvements
to the CAPO system include new mode controls for operator
efficiency and a self-diagnostic display system that provides
technical information for 48 functions. The cab is completely
redesigned. The R210LC-7 has 143 hp and weighs 48,460 lb.
It has a maximum digging depth of 22 ft, 1 in. The new 183-hp

TRACKING SYSTEM
Features Instant Lock-on
RC-2
FastTrak has wireless, one-touch operation for locking on
to the tracking beam of GTS-800AR robotic total stations.
Instant lock-on increases jobsite productivity because user
does not have to deal with the problem of losing "lock"
due to traffic, obstructions and bystanders, says the maker.
Weather-proof RC-2 mounts on top of prism or prism pole and
is battery-operated. Unit includes remote control, mounting
hardware and "Y" cable for communication with data
collector. Firm's GTS-800AR series utilizes wide-beam tracking
system. TOPCON POSITIONING

2WD OR FWD TRACTOR
High-Performance Features
Three-cylinder,
30-hp TC30 tractor can be customized with a choice of a hydrostatic
(automatic) or manual-gear transmission; hydrostatic is standard.
High-capacity live hydraulics and a heavy-duty rear axle provide
a three-point hitch lift of 1,635 lb. Unit is available with
two- or front-wheel drive axle for maximum fuel efficiency
in slippery or sandy conditions. A safety system shuts down
the engine if the operator attempts to exit the tractor when
the transmission is not in neutral and the parking brake is
off. NEW HOLLAND, A DIVISION

PLACING BOOM
Requires No Counterweight
The
four-section roll-and-fold MXR 34/38 offers a 111-ft horizontal
reach and a 13,128-lb boom, which combined provide a greater
effective reach and lighter crane picks, says the manufacturer.
Unit has a "square" tower with a highly modular
design and a special support system that can pour more floors
with fewer jumps and offers up to a 46-ft overhang before
needing to raise the boom. The absence of a counterweight
increases mobility. PUTZMEISTER;
