ENR's Construction Facts: The Sourcebook of Statistics, Records and Resources features construction equipment records--the world's biggest bulldozer, dump truck, tower crane, etc., all illustrated with color photos. The section on world record projects includes the largest project workforces in history and the longest-running projects currently under way. Another chapter features writeups of dream projects, such as the Bering Strait Bridge, which stretch the limits of present engineering ability. The section on people contains profiles of notable equipment innovators. The construction economics chapter contains data on markets, as well as building material and labor costs. There are also directories of major industry associations, unions, and government agencies.
