Jane A. Chmielinski, chief operating officer of AECOM, has been named to the

additional role of president of its Americas unit. The company confirms a Feb. 17 note to employees, obtained by ENR, that she replaces Michael Della Rocca, who was CEO of the group but has left the company, which he joined in 2011. Della Rocca had formerly been regional managing director in North America for U.K.-based Halcrow.

Turner Construction Corp. has promoted Karen Sweeney and Tom Manahan to senior vice president from vice president. Sweeney leads corporate-wide efforts in diversity, inclusion and community affairs. She joined the firm in 1980 as a field engineer and managed its Maryland office. Manahan is general manager of the firm's Ohio region and its industrial group. He joined a Turner subsidiary as a project engineer in 1984.

John Entsminger was promoted to general manager of the Southern Nevada Water Authority and the Las Vegas Valley Water District. He had been senior deputy general manager of both agencies. The authority is building an $817- million third intake at Lake Mead, which supplies water to 90% of southern Nevada. Entsminger succeeds Patricia Mulroy, who retired on Feb. 6.

Hill & Wilkinson, a Richardson, Texas, contractor, has promoted Rob Dixon to executive vice president. He will oversee the firm's retail and multi-family groups. In those roles, he replaces Executive Vice President Dick Johnson, who will focus on the firm's commercial office and warehouse groups and oversee central Texas region work.

 

Barbas
Jamey Barbas has joined engineer Berger Group Holdings Inc. (Louis Berger) as senior vice president in charge of the firm's global practice for major structures. Barbas was an executive at engineering firm Hardesty & Hanover. ENR named her a Newsmaker in 2004 for her work in providing an emergency solution to a failing historic suspension bridge in only 15 weeks.

ENVIRON, an Arlington, Va.-based international environmental consulting firm, has promoted 12 senior professionals to principal: Drew Bonas, Steve Branoff, Jeffrey Entin, David Heidlauf, Michael Keinath, David Lis, Eric Lu, Steve McGinnis and Sandy Sulsky are based in U.S. locations; Jonathan Hancox is in Manchester, England; Roberto Salvati is in Rome, and Viji Samuel is in Kuala Lumpur.

MWH Global has promoted Bruce Howard to executive vice president and chief of development, a new role. He joined MWH in 2002. Marshall Davert is now operating president for the government and infrastructure segment in the Americas and Asia Pacific regions. He is a 17-year MWH veteran.

Kurgan
John Kurgan has joined KCI Technologies Inc., Sparks, Md., as transportation market leader. No other corporate title was given. He was chief operating officer at Michael Baker Corp. and past president of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania. Richard Hergenroeder, former Michael Baker program manager for environmental restoration services, joins as chief client services officer. The firm promoted to vice president Bryan R. Lawson and Mary C. Wiedorfer, regional practice leaders in Tampa, Fla., and Washington, D.C., respectively.

CH2M Hill Cos. Ltd. has confirmed that JoAnne Shea has been named interim chief financial officer, replacing Michael A. Lucki, who left the firm on Jan. 31. Lucki, who joined the company in 2010, also had been senior vice president.

The firm also announced a realignment of key units and top executives. Greg McIntyre was named president of its global water operations. Formerly senior vice president and managing director of international infrastructure based in London, he succeeds Bob Bailey, who becomes president of the firm's facilities and urban environments segment. The unit combines work in CH2M Hill'sindustrial, advanced technology, government facilities, infrastructure and urban-programs areas. Mike Szomjassy now leads the energy-market group, which combines the firm's energy-and-chemicals and power segments; Chris Shea leads the environment and nuclear market, combining environmental and nuclear decommissioning practices; Terry Ruhl leads its transportation market.

state and territorial environmental commissioners, has named Alexandra D. Dunn executive director and general counsel. She succeeds Steven Brown, who retired in 2013. Dunn held the same roles at the Association of Clean Water Administrators.
