Rutlen
RUTLEN

Paulette R. Rutlen was elected on Aug. 1 as president of the American Society of Professional Estimators, the national association’s first woman in that role. She is resident chief estimator in the Irvine, Calif., office of The Austin Co., a Cleveland-based engineer-contractor now part of Kajima USA. A member of ASPE since 1982, she had been first vice president.

Laurel Krzeminski has joined Granite Construction Inc., Watsonville, Calif., as vice president and corporate controller. Most recently she served as finance director for the Duracell and Braun North American business units of Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati.

Spiezle Architectural Group Inc., Trenton, N.J., has hired A. Stevens Krug as executive vice president and chief operating officer. He previously was chief architect and senior vice president of facilities for Buchart-Horn/Basco Associates, an engineer-architect in York, Pa.

Jeffrey Cerquetti has joined JMT, an engineering consultant based in Sparks, Md., as vice president. Previously, he worked for Morabito Consultants, a structural engineering firm also based in Sparks, as a senior structural engineer. Cerquetti is co-holder of a patent for the Mobile Modular Intermodal Cogeneration System, a portable cogeneration powerplant.

Turner Construction Co, New York City, has named Joe Glowacki vice president and general manager of its newly created Houston-South Texas region. A 22-year firm veteran, he was most recently vice president and operations manager for Turner’s Texas region.

SCHEUERMANN

Skanska USA Civil has hired Sara Oommen as director of corporate human resources. She had been manager of HR functions for the City University of New York Graduate Fellowship program.

Boh Bros. Construction Co., New Orleans, has elevated Edward Scheuermann to vice president. He had been manager of the firm’s heavy construction department.

CMX, an engineering and consulting firm headquartered in Manalapan, N.J., has promoted Kevin Kammerer to vice president and principal. A six-year veteran of the firm, he had been senior project manager. Prior to joining CMX, Kammerer was vice president and partner of Kammerer, Schweppenheiser Associates.
