Bechtel has announced that president and chief operating officer Adrian Zaccaria will assume the role of vice chairman, and Bill Dudley will succeed him as president and COO. Zaccaria has been with Bechtel 37 years, serving as president and COO since 1996. Dudley, a 27-year veteran of the firm, has been an executive vice president of the San Francisco, Calif. based engineer-contractor since 2007.
Tom Jaske has been promoted to regional vice president of Faithful+Gould’s northeast operations. Jaske has been with Faithful+Gould since 2002, as head of the New York City office. Headquartered in New York City, the firm is a construction consultant and member of the WS Atkins group of companies.

Gregory Y. Chang has been named Ellerbe Becket’s national director of health care. He succeeds Jon Buggy, who will focus on managing the firm's Minneapolis headquarters. Chang has worked for the past 10 years as a principal and director of planning in the architect-engineer’s Washington D.C. office.
AIG, an international insurer headquartered in New York City, has appointed Anthony R. Romano as senior vice president of its domestic surety group. A 13-year AIG veteran, his previous position was vice president, AIG financial lines.
Bud Ahearn, a senior executive of CH2M HILL and a retired Air Force Major General, received the Golden Eagle Award from the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). The award is given to outstanding Americans for contributions to the engineering profession and national security.

Fran Pickett has joined the BRPH Companies Inc. as vice president of the education group. Pickett comes to the Melbourne, Fla. architect-engineer from her own educational planning and consulting firm, Fran Pickett & Associates.
Ann E. Massey has been appointed president and CEO of MACTEC Inc. and president of MACTEC Development Corp. (MDC). Massey has been with MACTEC for 19 years, most recently as north division manager for the Alpharetta, Ga.-based engineering firm. MDC is MACTEC’s construction entity focusing on decontamination, demolition, remediation, radiological engineering and risk manage-ment services.

Edward V. Kussy has joined Nossaman Guthner Knox & Elliott LLP as a partner in the Washington D.C./Virginia office. Attorneys Heather DeBlanc and Mitchell Purcell have also joined the Los Angeles-based law firm as associates. Kussy served as deputy chief counsel at the Federal Highway Administration for nearly two decades. DeBlanc joined the firm from Bergman & Dacey Inc. and Purcell recently left the U.S. African Development Foundation.
Angela Slavens has been named vice president of Black & Veatch’s sulfur technologies group. Prior to her new position, Slavens, a 12- year veteran of the Overland, Kan.-based engineer-contractor, was manager of process for the firm’s gas, oil and chemicals business line.
