A group of engineering professionals and scientists sat down with ENR and Architectural Record editors to discuss the expanding need for protection from floods and hurricanes in southern Louisiana and the Gulf Coast. What could be a foundation for a comprehensive regional flood control program, a proposal called Coast 2050, is now being considered by Congress as part of a new water resources bill.
