There’s hardly a minute at ENR when we aren’t thinking about what our readers need. That’s why, beginning this week, you will see a new approach to ENR.com’s homepage.
We hope you will find it cleaner and easier to follow the key paths to our content: news, cost data, lists of top companies and projects. Our growing multimedia offerings are now located more prominently. We’ve placed lots of content in windows where what you see depends on what you do. By clicking on different tabs, you will be able to switch from videos to podcasts, for example, or from top lists to cost data.
A box on the right side of the page now showcases our lists of top companies, cost and economic data and the vast project database of ENR’s parent, McGraw-Hill Construction. Each week we’ll offer a free peek inside that database.
There are other changes. The videos and narrated slide shows, for example, now appear just below the picture box on the left side of the page and can be viewed in the player embedded right on the page.
This new homepage is only the beginning of a front-to-back reworking of our award-winning website that involves many members of our staff, including Digital Media Director Bryant Rousseau, Online Design Director Susannah Shepherd, Online Media Senior Director Michael McNerney, Web Production Senior Manager Ilan Kapla, Web Producer Swati Scindia and ENR.com Managing Senior Editor Richard Korman. In coming months you’ll see reorganized pages for additional layers of content that will make it easier for you to use and enjoy ENR.com. Please share your thoughts by e-mailing ENR_Web_Editors@mcgraw-hill.com. We look forward to hearing from you as we make the industry’s top website even better.
