Debate over the use of E-Verify—a federal database used for confirming employment eligibility in the United States—turned confrontational at a jobsite in Tullytown, Pa., on Oct. 13. State Rep. The world’s longest tunnel, Switzerland’s 57-km-long Gotthard Alpine rail crossing, broke through on Oct. 15. The Gotthard twin tunnels will be the longest of several being built through the Alps on the Milan, Italy, to Basel, Switzerland, corridor.
