The Minnesota Dept. of Transportation announced Aug. 9 that five contracting teams submitted Statements of Qualifications to bid on the I–35W Mississippi River Bridge project. All five teams will now submit a proposal and cost estimate. More information is available on the agency's Design Build Web site. The teams are:

The federal government has already indicated that up to $250 million in funding will be available for a fast–track reconstruction. The goal for completion is by the end of 2008.
