Stanford's Teicholz Wins Turner Prize

Paul Teicholz, professor emeritus at Stanford University and widely credited as the developer of building information modeling (BIM) technology, was awarded the National Building Museum’s Henry C. Turner prize on Feb. 1. The museum says he has dedicated his career to finding ways to combine information technolo-gy within architecture, engineering and construction. Peter Davoren, CEO of Turner Corp., says Teicholz was chosen for the $25,000 endowment award because of his innovative technology work that has had “a profound impact on the industry.”
