Project of the Month: A Highway Through Key Largo
In early 2006, a barge-mounted American 9299 crane with ringer attachment for setting the beams works on a span near the Jewfish canal. None of the beam placing was typical. Each span had its challenges positioning the cranes or cranes, delivery trucks or using a temporary trestle, etc.
