Skanska AB, Stockholm, Sweden, is vigorously denying what it calls “false and misleading information” about closing down its business unit in Latin America, which it says has been circulating through anonymous e-mails. In a Jan. 18 press release, the firm states it is not planning to issue any profit warning, and the company has a “strong commitment to its business in Latin America.”
