commentThe Kleinfelder Group Inc., the San Diego transportation and environmental engineer, announced on Nov. 23 it has acquired S E A Consultants Inc., Cambridge, Mass., to create a new New England regional hub. The deal was financed through a stock transaction, says a spokesman. The purchase price was undisclosed. S E A becomes part of employee-owned Kleinfelder’s eastern division and S E A President and CEO Anthony Zuena becomes a Kleinfelder senior vice president. Kleinfelder ranks 47 on ENR’s list of the Top 500 Design Firms, with $305.4 million in 2008 revenue. S E A is ranked 370 on that list, with $33 million in 2008 revenue.
