SKM to Acquire Enviros

Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM), the Australia-based engineering and construction management firm, has agreed to acquire Enviros, a U.K.-based environmental consultancy, for $44 million. SKM is ranked 36th on ENR’s list of the Top 150 Global Design Firms and 13th on ENR’s list of the Top 20 non-U.S. firms in international construction management/program management fees. Enviros brings experience in sustainable development, renewable energy and waste management and bolsters SKM’s European presence. Enviros, with 450 employees, has 13 offices across the U.K. and Ireland, as well as an office in Prague. SKM has 6,500 employees in offices across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East, South America and Asia. It serves clients in the buildings, power, energy, mining, water and environment sectors.
