The City of Sandy is seeking bidders to build the Portland Water Bureau inter-tie project. The project entails building a 1-million-gal, partially-buried circular prestressed concrete reservoir; a 1-million-gal-per-day potable water pump station; a 1.5-mgd potable-water package pump station; 13,190 ft of 24-in.-dia transmission main; and 13,800 ft of 18-in.-dia transmission main. The work also includes electrical controls and connections into existing water, sewer and storm drain systems. The project is valued at $10 million. The Berschauer Phillips Construction Co. has started construction of the Tacoma Community College Harned Center for Health Careers building. The project entails building a three-story, 69,286-sq-ft building. The project is valued at $19.9 million. Washington Turner Construction has started building 2700 Elliott Ave. in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle. The project entails building a 13-story mixed-use building that will contain 132 condominiums, a 76-space underground parking garage and a 3,577-sq-ft ground floor retail space.
