MULLENEX
Barbara Mullenex has joined Perkins Eastman as a principal in Washington, D.C. A 26-year industry veteran in architecture and interior design focused on hospitality and corporate interiors, she had been a managing partner at OPX.

Brennan Fama was hired by Balfour Beatty Construction as a project executive on its multi-family housing team in Fairfax, Va. Previously a project executive at Clark Construction, he has led such projects as the $120-million Clarendon Center in Virginia.

 

BAXTER
Frank Baxter was hired by Skanska USA as the environment, health and safety director for its greater Philadelphia region. He had been safety director for The Tri-M Group and associate safety director for L.F. Driscoll Co.

Mark Gedris has joined the Construction Management Association of America, McLean, Va., as vice president of marketing. He was director of membership and communications at the U.S. Apple Association and membership director of the International Parking Institute.

KLMK Group Inc., a health care planning and design firm, has appointed Lora Schwartz as principal consultant in its mid-Atlantic strategic solutions group, based in Richmond. Schwartz has more than 15 years of experience in the field.

Dewberry has named James Draheim president of the Fairfax, Va., designer's U.S. architectural practice. Previously, he had been a senior vice president at URS Corp. and national director of its facilities practice.
