The Truland Group Inc., a Reston, Va., electrical contractor, has named Bennett Rhodes chief administrative officer. He had been general manager of its subsidiaries BKTruland Electric and PelBern Electric. Matthew Gentile also joins the firm as chief financial officer. Most recently, he was chief of project controls for Alstom Ltd.

Richard Boehne has joined engineering firm Merrick & Co., Aurora, Colo., as a principal and senior director of international programs in the firm's new Washington, D.C., office. He had been a business development executive at Raytheon Intelligence & Information Systems and was a Middle East country manager for the firm.
Brian M. Kleiner has been named by Virginia Tech University, Blacksburg, to a new two-year term as Ralph H. Bogle Professor Fellow in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He also is director of its Myers-Lawson School of Construction.
Harry R. Kleiser has joined Terranear PMC, an Exton, Pa., engineer and environmental services firm, as president. Based in Baltimore, he formerly served as executive vice president and client development director of federal programs for ARCADIS-U.S.
