But Jim Vockley, founder of Adams Consulting Group, Fletcher, N.C., says firms may soon have to scramble for experienced staff. "Companies got very lean through the recession and continue to operate as lean as they can," he says. As firms get busier, "even though the turnaround is slow, they find that a lot of the people who were displaced in the recession are no longer available. They've left the industry. We see companies already having a hard time finding people again. It's starting to become more of a candidate's market."
