California Goldstein Planting LLC, backed by investors Atlas Capital Group and Square Mile Capital Management, is planning to convert a former Coca-Cola Co. manufacturing plant in downtown Los Angeles into an office and retail complex. The three-story, 123,600-sq-ft building will be converted into retail space on the ground floor and office space on the upper two floors; the design also includes a 300-space parking garage and a landscaped roof deck, replete with a fire pit and outdoor kitchen. Georgia Duke Land Group LLC is planning to build Riverwalk Village, a mixed-use project on a 104-acre site in Roswell. The project will comprise 200 single-family townhouse units, 250 multi-family units, 1,156 senior independent-living units, 200,000 sq ft of office space, 1.7 million sq ft of general commercial space, a 490,000-sq-ft, 200-room hotel and a school for children with language-based learning differences. Louisiana Cool Planet Energy Systems is planning to build a biofuel refinery in Alexandria. The plant will convert materials, such as wood chips, corncobs and other organic waste, into either gasoline or a patented biochar product called CoolTerra, an agricultural crop booster. Beard Construction Co.'s site preparation is now complete, and a fixed-price bidding process for the general contract will take place in early 2015. Texas M&G Chemicals is planning to build a resin processing plant on a 410-acre site, located in Corpus Christi. The project involves the construction of a plant to produce one million tons per year of polyethylene terephthalate resin and 1.2 million tons per year of purified terephthalic acid. The plant is expected to reach completion and be operational by 2016. The project's value has been estimated at $751 million. Florida Penn-Florida Inc., a developer, has awarded a contract to Moss & Associates to build phase one of Via Mizner, a mixed-use development in Boca Raton. Tennessee 1/8/15 The City of Murfreesboro is seeking bidders to carry out the Sinking Creek wastewater treatment plant expansion.
